Description
Les Grèves is situated in the North between Les Toussaints, Les Bressandes and Les Theurons. In French,Grèves means sandy, small stones, which describes the soil of these vineyards. It is the largest Beaune Premier Cru vineyard.
The grapes are harvested by hand and put in small cases to protect the fruit from damage. Grapes are pressed softly, fermented then aged in oak barrels. This 1er Cru provides a plump, generous style with all the depth and power of more famous names but with slightly less complexity. Aging usually lasts 15 months before bottling.
