• 100% LANOLIN: Nothing but highly purified lanolin – the natural wax rendered from sheep’s wool – in a 200 ml jar. One ingredient, nothing added and nothing diluted. A thick, protective salve for very dry hands, cracked heels, rough elbows, nails and chapped lips. The size most households settle on: enough for daily use right through a winter, or for a season of soap and balm making.
• UltraPure Lanolin, pharmaceutical purity: refined to pharmaceutical grade, anhydrous and fragrance-free, made without BHT, other preservatives or fillers. Anhydrous is the point – hydrous lanolin comes pre-blended with water, ours does not, so the whole jar is lanolin. It goes further per application and keeps far longer once opened. Produced in the EU, from wool certified mulesing-free.
• EASY TO USE: Lanolin is firm in the jar and melts at 36-40 °C, so body heat is enough. If it feels too hard, warm the jar briefly with a hairdryer or stand it somewhere warm; if your room is hot and it turns soft, chill it for an hour. Scoop a little, warm it between your fingertips and spread a thin layer. This is a rich wax, not a light lotion, so use less than you think and give it a minute to sink in. A thick layer can leave a greasy mark on fabric, so let it absorb before dressing or going to bed.
• FOR VERY DRY SKIN: Forms a protective barrier that helps skin hold on to the moisture it already has. Made for hands that split in winter, cracked heels, rough elbows, knuckles, nails and cuticles – and for the whole body wherever skin is tight or flaking. Shields against wind, cold and hard water, so it suits gardeners, nurses, hairdressers, cyclists, climbers and anyone washing their hands all day. Fine on the face as well. Also used on chapped lips and on nipples.
• ONE INGREDIENT, MANY USES: Pure enough to use straight from the jar, or to blend into your own recipes – balms, salves, hand creams, lotions, soap and shampoo bars, lip products. Makers use it to dress leather and to re-lanolise wool: a little dissolved in warm water softens woollens in the wash and stops them clinging with static. Because there is no water in it, it mixes cleanly into oil-based formulations without splitting or needing a preservative.
• THREE SIZES: This is the 200 ml jar; the range runs 60 ml, 200 ml and 500 ml. The 60 ml suits everyday use and travels well, the 200 ml is where most people land once the small one runs out, and the 500 ml is for soap and balm makers, spinners and knitters re-lanolising fleece, and for refilling smaller pots at home. This jar holds more than three times the small one. Lanolin is a wool wax, so this is an animal-derived product, not a vegan one.
