At Schwartz, we understand the value of patience. Sustainably sourced from the central Sumatra region of Indonesia, it can take up to 20 years for the inner bark of tropical evergreen cinnamon trees to develop the many layers of flavour. The reward is that our cinnamon sticks acquire the most deliciously earthy aroma and it’s more than worth the wait. Warming cinnamon spice perfectly compliments both sweet and savoury dishes. If they’re not infusing a bubbling pot of stew, our cinnamon sticks are the perfect warming stirrer for a steaming mug of hot chocolate or mulled wine. Try adding a stick to chilli con carne or to steamed rice during cooking.
