Upholstered Rocking Chair Nursery Glider Rocker with Padded Backrest

I’ve bought six chairs over the past few years. Sadly, they’ve all let me down. This one is the best of the six… but it has a few issues. 1. I need to add a few cushions under the seat cushion so my butt can be slightly elevated and away from the springs. 2. I added a thin cushion behind the back cushion so I don’t feel the arch slats behind me. 3. The footrest is much lower than the chair, so I’ll have to add a few more cushions so my feet and legs are elevated at the right height. This is still the best chair I’ve bought in years! I don’t know why no one makes a chair that’s comfortable to sit in. All I really need is a flat piece of wood (half the depth of a regular chair) that also allows me to lean forward slightly and has an “arch-cushion” cushion that covers my buttocks, slopes down to each armrest, and doesn’t have any wood touching my lower thighs. Instead of tilting your buttocks upward and forward at a slight angle, all chairs have seats that tilt your buttocks backward and downward at a steep angle to the pinched apex of the “backrest,” while tucking the wood under your legs. This allows you to sit comfortably for longer periods. The fact that chairs are still being manufactured like it’s 1950 is baffling! So, with a few adjustments to the “cushions,” you can transform this chair into one you can sit in comfortably for a while. Again, this is the most comfortable I’ve felt in years… so a huge thank you to the manufacturer for this chair!!! I just wish a company would produce a chair that’s tailored to modern living, rather than continuing to produce chairs that ergonomically force you to leave as quickly as possible. I hope the manufacturer of this chair will consider my opinions when designing future chairs. People are sitting for longer and longer periods of time, and so far… no one’s designing chairs for the future. I hope they’ll listen to my advice and lead the way! For now, this chair is worth buying… until someone designs and manufactures a comfortable alternative to all existing chairs for all of us to use comfortably.
